Pausanias (pâ-sā’nē-as). A Greek traveler of the second century of our era; a native of Lydia. He wrote in ten books ‘The Tour of Greece,’ commonly called ‘Pausanias’s Description of Greece.’ (See Critical and Biographical Introduction).
