Questions are either true or false about for the following statements on Notch signaling  please help. how do i work throuhg these During R8 determination, cells with higher Notch ligand Dl will induce higher expression of Notch target gene Enhancer of Split complexes [E(spl)] in the neighboring cells and inhibit their differentiation into R8 neurons.   In the absence of Notch ligands, Su(H) will bind to the corepressor proteins and repress Notch target gene expression. Therefore the effects of the Notch receptor mutation can be different from that of the Su(H) mutations   Notch signaling has multiple functions during eye development, including regulation of cell proliferation, lateral inhibition, selection of the first retinal neuron, and recruitment of cone cells. These different functions are all mediated by Notch signaling targets the Enhancer of Split complexes [E(spl)].   Mutations that specifically block endocytosis of Notch ligand Dl (in the Dl expressing cells) will inhibit Notch signaling activation in the surrounding cells even in the presence of Notch and Dl binding.   Expression of the Notch ligand Dl will only activate Notch signaling in the surrounding cells but not in the Dl-expressing cells themselves.
