Timothy Dwight (1828–1916)
Dwight, Timothy. An American Congregational clergyman; born in Norwich, CT, Nov. 16, 1828; died in 1916; grandson of Timothy Dwight. He was president of Yale University (1886–1899). He was one of the members of the New Testament Revision Committee. He published ‘The True Ideal of an American University.’
