Raffaello Barbiera (18511934)
Barbiera, Raffaello (bärb-yā’rä). An Italian poet and journalist; born in Venice, 1851; died in 1934. His contributions to periodical literature are particularly valuable, and a volume of ‘Poems’ was received with pleasure, while works on Italian literature and numerous anthologies indicated good taste, ‘The Calendar of the Muses’ (1888) being an instance.
