Guillaume Colletet (15981659)
Colletet, Guillaume (kol”e-taā’). A French poet; born at Paris in 1598; died in 1659. His best works are: ‘Banquet of the Poets’ (1646); ‘Selected Poems’ (1656). He was one of the five poets selected by Richelieu to put his dramatic works in verse, and was also one of the original members of the French Academy.
