Resource Evaluation The main source of information used for this project was the United States Department of Labor website. It is, in my opinion, the single most important piece of information used for this entire project. It is a very straight-forward source. It basically states, in list form, every item that an employer is required to have in regards to record-keeping. The site was able to clear up a question that I had on how the information had to be formatted. According to the United States Department of Labor (n.d.), “There is no required form for the records, but the records must include accurate information about the employee and data about the hours worked and the wages earned” (para. 2). One additional source that I used, for …show more content…
Take inventory for example, Linton (n.d.) stated that “by using a database, you can replace manual methods of inventory control and reduce the time, cost and effort of inventory management” (para. 1). So basically, databases streamline the processes. When time is saved, productivity is increased. You can also look at this project to see how businesses utilize databases for their employee information. The forms that were created for this project show just how simplified inputting information has become. Almost everything is now in one database, and it can be shared across tables. It is the same concept for customer information.
Knowledge and Skills I believe that employers are looking for competent employees that understand today’s technology. Most employers are not looking for the computer whiz that can revolutionize their computer systems. They want someone that has the skills to use both the spreadsheet and database software. If the employee has those skills before they get the job, then they are already a productive asset to the company. Productivity and success are the main goals of a company. If the employee is able to use Excel and Access in a manner that is more productive to the company, then the company will more successful.

Databases are the heart of the company. This is where all crucial company information is stored and can be accessed. Some databases are stored on site others in remote locations or using clouds. The information within a database can be manipulated in any way that the company needs it to be. Databases help to quickly search and retrieve information, it saves from data redundancy.
BIG FLATS (WENY) - Imagine being able to market, develop and sell your business idea all within just a few years. Better yet, imagine being able to get the help and support to do so, right here in the Southern Tier. Well, that's what the area's newest business incubator, IncubatorWorks, is trying to do.
The data I propose to collect would be current attendance records, training completion results, current stats and IT ticket entries. I would align current attendance records with current stats and training competition results to see if there is any correlation between employees who are frequently absent and determine how much of an effective employee they are. If an employee is frequently absent, there is a high percentage that they are missing important information and training sessions that would assist them in being a more effective employee. An associate could be a great asset to an organization, however their presence is needed for them to have an impact on the organization. Comparing the training completion results to current stats can show reveal if this is accurate or not.
Due to unknowns within the business, my first prototype would be a simple skeletal design. The design would be a simple navigation to get users to a specific function that is required to complete the task at hand. The first step in this process would be authentication, with two options available.
Eof fathers with children in the United States were single fathers. Indeed, 62% of children living in Berks County are affected by poverty (Catlin, Jovaag, & Van Dijik Willems, 2015).
Daniel emphasized how strict the entertainment departments budget were that I caused them to go over budget by not taking breaks and that from there on out I would be getting scheduled 28 hours a week. David changed my time sheet and added breaks on days that I did not take breaks. Daniel also stated that by the time I had replied to Davids missed time punch text that the time sheet was already sent in. I asked Daniel how this could be corrected and he told me he would have to check with HR but that I could just not clock out for 3 days. Daniel also asked me I meant by "I was doing lead work". I replied by telling him I lead my staff, performed closing lead duties; such as End of Day report, contacting guest services, reporting directly to
Have you ever felt unappreciated in a job? Do you feel on edge that at any given moment you could be replaced? Or has someone you are supposed to trust to put down your efforts? An effective leader should make sure you aren't left wondering these questions. I have worked in the special education department at a high school for three years under the guidance of the principal. During that time I have not been told that I am doing a good job or given any recognition. I am not alone because the majority of the department share the same feelings. Instead of mentoring us into the type of employees he desires he makes these negative comments. With no justification, since he rarely takes time to visit our classrooms, he has called us a “toxic department” and has repeatedly said “we should just start with a clean slate”. In the beginning I tried to approach him however, he
Since she has problems skipping a question and forgetting to check back over the test, I have personally gone back over my tests as many times as I’ve had time for. I’ve quadruple-checked several math tests because I have a fresh outlook when I come back to the question. Sometimes I check for mistakes and other times, my inspiration kicks in and I’m not stumped anymore. She should depend on her Sequence still, but perhaps lean towards one of its other characteristics, organizational objectives. Before she even goes into a test, take some breaths and break down in her head of what she’s going to do if she gets stumped. Go in with a game plan.

Thanks again for taking the time to speak with me today. As we discussed, this was an error on our end, which has since be corrected. What happened was, I did not discount the 2.5% credit card processing fee when I sent out the original agreement for Swift & Sons, resulting in the difference you’re seeing.
“It’s a homerun when you and the customer agree on what is expected and you are able to deliver exactly that. Know that customers who take time to explain their concerns are doing you a big favor. Set up a system to learn from breakdowns. Strive to match customer demands for level of quality, pricing, and accountability” (Gray, 2017). With the new sales representative role at Best Value, I would take the advice previously mentioned. Listening to the consumer and meeting that need would be the first priority of my role and managing expectations. This would also serve as a platform for the company as well to see if Best Value is able to meet the growing needs of their consumers and revisit the services and products that are offered by them.
There are various legislative acts and regulations that instruct on how we are to record and store HR data, I will briefly summarise 2 of them.
Centralised database to hold customer information The current system holds customer’s name, address and account information and finance director has suggested that a database with additional customer information will help the company to conduct market research and send special offers to customers.
Databases allow us to easily store and retrieve data in a purely digital format. The strength of this is that large amounts of data can be stored and retrieved with minimal effort on the part of the user. Opposed to manually flipping through files, one can quickly pull up the requested data through a computer program. Many systems that were conventionally paper and file based have been converted to a digital format which are now stored in one or more databases.
“A database is a structured collection of records or data that is stored in a computer system. In order for a database to be truly functional, it must not only store large amounts of record, but also be able to access those records fast and efficiently. In addition, new information and changes should also be easy to input.” (tech-faq.com) To be useful over a long term the database should be able to store all the records necessary for the business to function as well as be able to get all of this information back in case of a system failure or a crash. If all the information is loss a business could go bankrupt so the database is a fail
