Keeping a good standard of hygiene helps to prevent the development and spread of infections, illnesses and bad odours. There are many contributory factors that make up personal hygiene with the main ones being washing, oral care, hair care, nail care, wound care, cleansing of personal utensils. Personal hygiene is essentially the promotion and continuance of good health. Probably the most important aspect of all, food hygiene is very closely associated with personal hygiene. Poor personal cleansing can have a very significant effect on the start and spread of many illnesses through contact with foods, some that could be potentially life-threatening.

As Executive Director, I will provide staff leadership for Better Health Association. Our goal for the company is to improve the well-being of individuals. Audiences of all ages will be able to take part in learning about living a healthy lifestyle and developing the skills needed to make healthy choices to prevent diseases and ameliorate conditions for those already afflicted with illnesses. Over the course of the next year, It is my responsibility to develop and lead the staff, management structure, dedicated to achieving the mission for Better Health Care Organization. I plan to make significant changes to our organization, to help guide individuals in Central Ohio, to living a better and healthier lifestyle. My goal is to empower the staff with the training needed to meet our company’s standards.

I would like to propose a health fair to improve the quality of life and prevention of the congregational community with the collaboration of community vendors. This document is intended to provide an outline of the program, objectives and what incentives will be the most important for its success. The mission is to improve the quality of life with early detection and prevention.

Once loans are repaid, the money can be used to fund new loans and help more impoverished individuals. Throughout high school I have participated in color guard which has allowed me to strengthen my organizational and leadership skills. I have taken these abilities to arrange the project and inform all members of the opportunity. My presentation skills have greatly improved since the start of this project though the numerous displays of the goals and procedures. To reach all members this year, I plan to attend meeting held by other sponsors for other grade levels to provide a personal announcement of the Kiva Project.

The setting is a community health center at the St. Joseph Health Center in Jamaica Queens, New York. This is a community health center in a low income area of New York. The center deals with all types of patients from expectant mothers to the elderly. They offer a range of services for low income families and individuals without insurance. The doctors are volunteers, and the staff is committed to disease prevention and awareness. They periodically arrange a health fair to reach out to patients who may otherwise not see a physician for the entire year.

To reach our goal, we focus on eight fields: health, livelihood, water sanitation, hygiene, education, child protection, humanitarian assistance and emergency response. We sponsor Jamila Kanchoro, a young girl in Kenya. We provide access to basic necessities such as clean water, food, education and health care for Jamila. Child sponsorships assist in the hiatus of the poverty cycle by empowering young minds, their families, and communities. In a ‘Thank You’ card, Jamila mentioned her love for science; a passion that we both share. I made it one of my personal goals to raise money for scientific instruments for Jamila to use one day. This large financial goal was a challenge for me to think of multiple fundraising events. One activity that I organized was a 40 Hour Famine which raised awareness and over $1500. This experience has challenged me to not only make a difference in my community but to also impact globally. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of hand hygiene and how it decreases the transmission of infection throughout (Bloomfield, Aiello, Cookson, O'Boyle, & Larson, 2007). Handwashing can include alcohol based hygiene items and handwashing with soap and water. This study main focus was on North American and Europe. There is plenty of supporting rationale to backup why this study was conducted. Some of the few things this study wanted to achieve are hand hygiene is key to staying healthy and reducing infection. This needs to be followed both in the workplace and around the community to abstain from infections. Handwashing can be achieved by soap and water or hand sanitizers that removes or eliminates many microorganisms on the surface of the hand (de Oliveira Dourado, da Costa Barros, Diogo de Vasconcelos, & da Silva Santos, 2017). Reflecting on this denial, I identified the problem: I needed formal organizational status. Thus, I created iCare (www.iCareOrganization.weebly.com), a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and providing good hygiene and nutrition to underserved communities world-wide. The project grew from humble beginnings at my family’s dining table with three friends putting together around 300 “iCare packages”, to becoming a global organization with distribution centers in Lebanon, Miami, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the Dominican Republic.
